Staring at the Ceiling

I am writing this post with a bit of a neck cramp. I spent the weekend painting not one, but two really big ceilings in my house. I went to town adding lots of decorative stripes and pattern overhead. Despite the "pain in the neck", the end result was so worth it. More often than not, the ceiling in a room is overlooked and painted in basic white. Christina on Instagram: "This cute little bee pattern on the ceiling of our mudroom draws my eyes up and away from the mess that can generally be found on the floor near the back door. Why not have some fun with a utilitarian spot, like a mudroom?! Easy DIY steps below!
1) start with flat ceiling paint in the area to be stenciled
2) lightly spray the back side of the stencil with REPOSITION-ABLE spray adhesive
3) use painter’s tape to secure the stencil to the ceiling
4) use a fun color paint and foam roller to lightly coat the stencil
5) GENTLY remove the stencil, peeling from a corner before the paint dries
6) line up your stencil pattern, and repeat!
