This is a 10x12 gambrel roof shed built by Mr. Dalton using my 10x12 barn shed plans. He used my modified truss plans to get more head space in the loft area.

Cabin Forum/Blog: I ve got my little slice of the american dream....about 4100 sq feet worth! I am limited to a 200 sq ft playhouse or shed before I have to start messing with permits. So, naturally I am thinking 10x20 would fit the bill perfectly. My needs are simple...I want this to be a simple weekend getaway that s a step up comfort-wise from tent camping. No power or plumbing. I'm building a 20x24 cabin with my Uncle Dave on a 7 acre lot of land in Weare NH, that was passed down from my great grand father, we dont have alot of money so we're building as we have the money .To catch you guys up with our progress, last November (2005) Dave and I went to the Town of Weare and asked to build a cabin. In March we finally got approved to build.We started by cutting down the trees that were in the way, we kept the ones we wanted to use for some furniture.

The EK cabins are constructed with the porch on the short end and a standard loft. 2″x6″ log siding 6′ porch

Cabin Forum/Blog: yea it great, its not even that much more expense to have 10 lg. studs vs. 8 . 16x20 seems small but with the loft over the kitchen/bathroom area with is abt 9x16, it creates so much extra space. I even consided just making a whole 2nd floor and having two bedrooms up stairs. I believer my pitch is at 40 degrees or so. I know its not quite 45 degrees. It s also great with the metal roof, any sn
