Raimee Iacofano | Travel Creator on Instagram: "Please don’t forget to do this in Kyoto, Japan… @visit_kyoto #KyotoPartner 🌿✨ You MUST get off the beaten path. Especially if you want to beat the crowds and truly experience all of the magic this beautiful city has to offer. These are 5 of my favorite hidden gems: 🌿 Kyoto City Rakusai Bamboo Park – A peaceful bamboo park off the beaten path, perfect for a tranquil escape. 🍶 Fushimi Sake District – Explore the historic sake breweries and enjoy a tasting flight of 18 local sakes. 🕯️ Nakamura-rousoku Candle Painting – Paint traditional Kyo-Rousoku candles at a workshop that’s been crafting them for over 125 years. 🎭 Kabuki Show at Minami-za Theatre – Experience Japan’s iconic performance art at Kyoto’s oldest kabuki theater. 🧘‍♀️ K
Brandon Chou on Instagram: "bought a few tins of matcha powder from stores in kyoto and uji, here’s where: btw yes i bought only a respectable amount 🙂 📍horii shichimeien // outside the main, popular uji street so the store wasn’t crowded at all. staff were super helpful and nice explaining the different matcha profiles/tastes. ended up getting their seasonal tin and closed my eyes and picked out one that i could possibly like 📍marukyu koyamaen // a bit outside of uji, their main store also has a cafe but try to go early! they sold out of a lot of stuff, but i got my hands on a tin of eiju and a store exclusive one 📍ippodo kyoto // also had a restriction on 1 tin (or 2 i forget) per person. got their seasonal tin here 📍tsujiri // a few locations around kyoto, super helpful staff

grace chin on Instagram: "Shopping hacks you need to know before your Japan trip 🤗 This is how you can pay less for things people usually pay more for in Japan! 1. Shop at Uniqlo during their weekly flash sale that happens every Tuesday and Friday from 2-5pm 2. Do not shop for Jbeauty at Don Quijote or Cosme, I usually buy all of my Japanese skincare, haircare and makeup from a local pharmacy! 3. Get extra discount for eligible brands in Japan in addition to the 10% tourist tax refund. You can do this by going to the website I’ve shared in the video to get these coupons. Keep in mind that the eligible brands do change often and the coupons do have an expiry date! #japan #japantrip #traveltips"
