Delaney, *30-something*, starts her day an hour before everyone wakes up to do 30 minutes of yoga, check her emails, grabs a cup of coffee from her Nespresso machine, and slowly prepares the kids’ breakfast while listening to them wake up upstairs. Her daughter Eve, just turned 6, and her son Logan will be 3 in just a few months. She’s taking them to the Kids’ Museum for the morning, followed by a visit at Mimi’s (their Nana) after lunch at the cafe, for a few hours in the afternoon while she catches up on work at home. She’s already got dinner prepared, thanks to meal prepping every Sunday, and isn’t phased by the basket of unfolded laundry on the couch when a friend drops by unannounced, cause she was in the neighbourhood. She throws some cheeses & fruit on a plate that they nibble on while catching up. Date nights with the hubs are frequent enough for Delaney, and her wardrobe reflects that. Her style is anywhere between Boho Chic, and Rocker Babe, but she’ll rock a sequin evening gown like nobody’s business, then bra off, ponytail up, & sweatpants on when she gets home. Her accessory style is a Boho arm party on the left, loaded with beaded bangles & multi-wrap bracelets, her wedding ring, and the thumb ring she’s been wearing for years, a few delicate layered necklaces, or a huge statement bib, and a hat. Always a hat! She’s adventurous with her hairstyles, and every once in a while, after growing her hair for a few years, she’ll just chop it all off & start over. She’s been using the same stylist for 7 years, because she just always gets it right. She likes to hit the gym 4 days a week, and walks frequently. Her home is definitely a reflection of her laidback comfy style, but she loooooves good living, and lots of open spaces. Think high ceilings, white walls, and big comfy furniture, but peppered with a few beautiful vintage thrift store or estate sale finds. She loves decorating on a budget, but won’t balk at expensive quality items, very Modern Eclectic. And food, omg she loves food! She studied nutrition & fitness in college, but decided to concentrate on her online influencer business after it just took off. Delaney shops at Whole Foods and their local Farmers Market, and loves hanging out in the kitchen, to experiment with new dishes, and surprising her guests with exotic meals when she entertains. Which she does every chance she gets. Going all out, renting furnishings, and hiring florists (who know to use her favourites: ranunculus, peonies, and poppies, and always eucalyptus!) . However, she likes to be in charge of the little details, and will design the decor, menu, and setting herself. She likes to end the night with a nice long soak in the tub, while enjoying a glass of Miraval rosé. Or a little Netflix & Chill...
