Ironically, this post is nearly dead on for what I do when I feel this way. When I'm sad, I watch uplifting TV or movies or get up and move, but I avoid my phone and social media because it only makes me feel worse. When I'm stressed, walking around and working it out helps. When I can't sleep and my brain won't turn off, writing it out in a journal is the only way to go.
