OpenJDKJRE as replacement for jPortable and launcher java settings

Submitted by MaBerY on April 17, 2020 - 3:49pm

I'm trying to make a a portable version for bancika's DIYLC drawing package relying on a Java runtime available.
I can get it working using the jPortable package and the existence of the commonfiles\java folder.
But the recent licensing issues around Oracle I feel the need to make the switch to the OpenJDKJRE variants.

How do I set up a remote desktop connection with 2X Client Portable?

Submitted by Avalanche369 on March 16, 2020 - 1:49pm

I've tried setting up a remote desktop connection myself and the program always fails to connect. I don't know what I am doing wrong and I can't find any guides or tutorials for this program. Is there anyone else here who uses this program, if so, where can I go to get help with this program?

specPortable hangs during installation at "Create folder: I:\PortableApps\specPortable\App\Speccy"

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

The exact same thing is also happening for Defraggler:
dfgPortable also is hanging during installation at "Create folder: I:\PortableApps\specPortable\App\Defraggler"

In both cases, they are new installations, as opposed to updates.

How to modify ini for multi-user ?

Submitted by hp32SII on February 25, 2020 - 10:58am

Several people here are using Controlpadportable on their pc. I would like to put the file Commands.ini (containing the list of codes and corresponding actions) on one central location, so that I can easily update it for everybody at once. I guess this can be done by modifying everybody's Controlpadportable.ini file, but I don't know how to do that exactly. Can someone help out ? Thanks !

Not that it should really affect anything, but the JavaPortable.ini inside the jPortable64 installer for version 231 is still the same as version 223.
