I started ClamWin and it asked to update viruses, which I said yes to. It then started the update process, but I get this message:

Could not start process:
".\freshclam.exe" --stdout --datadir="..\..\..\Data\db" --config-file="c:\docume~1\jhhlib~1\locals~1\temp\tmp_9ol8j" --log="c:\docume~1\jhhlib~1\locals~1\temp\tmp7a0tio"
Error: Could not start process.
.\freshclam.exe
File does not exist.

I had this before for a previous version. I updated and it seemed to work fine, but it has happened again.

ClamWin ver is 0.95.1.

New Keepass is out, request for portableapps please

I use PC Tools Firewall. It blocks update of Freshclam.exe and reports it as a WORM. I tried to reinstall Clamwin Portable but the result is the same.

Please help.

Just a note:
The main.cvd for ClamAV/Win/portable is updating from

50 to 51

If you have high speed access the most efficient way to do the update is to directly download the file from here:

http://www.clamav.org/download/cvd
after deleting your current main.cvd

If you allow it to update itself you will get a
46 MB main.cld instead of a nice compact 20 MB main.cvd

don't forget to delete your current daily.cld also if you use this method, the new daily.cvd is only 137kb

Remember:

delete
...\ClamWinPortable\Data\db\main.*
...\ClamWinPortable\Data\db\daily.*

sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it in search.

I'm wondering if there is a portable version of the keepassSync plug-in?

I use keepass on my home computers, work computer and carry it on two flash drives as well. It's a bit of a pain any time I update or add a password having to update all those DB files. Would be useful to be able to have one remotely stored DB file that updates/overwrites local ones when you run the sync program.

Is this a bug?
I made a fresh Clamwin portable installation. Successfully downloaded the virus database.
A few seconds after starting the scan, I get this error resulting in the scan to be stopped.

ERROR: Broken or not a CVD file

What is the problem?
Using Windows 2000 Pro.

C:\Portable HD Apps (C)\XenonPortable\XenonPortable.exe: Worm.Waledac-4693 FOUND

Using the latest edition (0.95), it wasn't there when 0.94 scanned it a few days ago.

"Running From CD (ClamWin Portable Live)"
"The ClamWinPortable.ini can not be used when running from CD."

So what i do for ini.file? let it be, delete or what?

Look, I have AVG AntiVirus Free 8.0 and the latest version of ClamWin installed on my computer. I have ClamWin scheduled to do a C:\ scan on Thursday nights and E:\ (my external hard drive) on Saturday night and AVG scans both drives on Friday night. This is what ClamWin came up with on my scan last night:

Just updated to CWP 0.95.1 from previous version.
Preferences were reset [Files to ignore are gone ].

I had just added a couple of prefs before the upgrade in order to test this.
In place upgrade [install on top of previous version]
