I just finished rewatching Randy cunningham 9th grade ninja which was one of my favourite shows growing up, goddamn the nostalgia! I had so much fun on this rewatch, not a flawless show by any means its just campy and cute and I am hyperfixating so I had to do an artstyle study which includes drawing myself as the ninja because of course I had to. Also If this artstyle seems at all familiar, the character designs in the show were by Jhonen Vasquez who is the artist behind Invader Zim so there... bobbypontillas: Moana’s out in theaters today! After animation wrapped on Big Hero, I had the opportunity to help out with design on Moana. One of my assignments was to design the village kids from her island of Motunui. I hoped to bring a sense of authenticity to how they looked, and to make them real for me I thought a lot about watching my little cousins grow up back in the Philippines =) Thankful for them!
