Vancouver’s only suspended building.  Opened in 1969 as the Westcoast Transmission Building, now converted to residential called Qube.  One of only a handful of such structures in the world, it is deemed to be Vancouver’s only earthquake-proof building.     I love this building and I wonder if it could be built today.     Is there a developer or company innovative and risk adverse enough to take such a chance and invest what must have been a considerable premium to build such a unique structure?
