More Chuck Close, this man is a artistic genius -- especially when you think about his mental disability.
Chuck Close
Chuck Close; Realism in art and design has been inspired by photography. Once upon a time painters tried to paint as real as they could, skills slowly improved and now people spend all their lives trying to create 'perfection' that resembles life; photography.
"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself." - Chuck Close

While you may already know Chuck Close as that incredibly talented American artist who creates those huge photorealistic paintings, you may never have seen this mind-blowing piece. Called Fanny/Fingerpainting, it's a beautiful portrait of Close's wife’s late grandmother Fanny created with fingerprints!
