This emergent reader little book is a great way to practice reading with young students, while capturing their interest in the zoo and zoo animals! This story uses a predictable pattern, "Zookeeper, zookeeper, what do you see?" to support emerging readers. This story includes several zoo vocabulary words, such as zookeeper, elephant, lion, tiger, monkey, giraffe, bear, and zebra. This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!! If you like this emergent reader, you might like some of my other little books for beginning readers. I have created a list with all 80+ of my books.
