Click here to try WeShape for free:... | By WeShape | Do you want to work on your triceps, maybe tone 'em up, make 'em a little bit stronger, make 'em nice and toned? Well, I'm going to show you a simple exercise that you can do to strengthen your triceps from the comfort of your home. Doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or not, okay? So, this is a variation of the push up. It's called the wall push up but I'm going to give you a few things to make it really target the triceps, okay? So, place your hands on the wall, fingertips pointing towards the sky. You're going to walk your feet out until you feel like you're really leaning against that wall. Now, from here, don't stick your butt out like this. Squeeze your glute and stomach. That's really important just to protect your back and work your core at the same time. Now, a lot of people when they do push ups, they're going to be wider on the hands and they're going to flare their elbows out like this and that puts a lot of pressure on the pecs but not on the triceps. So, let's go a little bit more inwards. Your hands are right in front of your shoulders and this time, I want you to drop your elbows towards your hips as you do these push ups, okay? So, elbows towards hips as you do the push ups and then back up. Now, that might be too hard for you. If you need to, you can walk the wall, the closer you are to the wall, the easier this will be. The further you are from the wall, the harder this will be. To the point where man, that's already pretty tough on my triceps right there, okay? What you can do is about three sets of 15 to 20 repetitions. Rest for about one minute in between sets and really focus on pushing the wall away from you and flexing the triceps at the top position. When you do this, you have a simple body weight exercise that you can do anytime, anywhere to work on that spot on your triceps. Everybody wants to have a little more tone, a little more strong, okay? Give that a shot.
