Lauren | DIY | Furniture Restoration on Instagram: "⬇️Steps to de-oranging your furniture! 1. Clean with a good degreaser 2. Scuff sand with 220. You’re just giving the stain something to grab. 3. Stain! Use a gel stain (I used Dark Walnut by @varathane ). Work in sections and wipe away the excess thoroughly to avoid streaks and smudges. 4. Seal. I used water based polycrylic in Satin, after waiting a full 24 hours for the oil based stain to cure. 5. Reassemble! This may sound involved, but it’s a lot easier than stripping or sanding it entirely! #diy #vintagestyle #furnitureflip #darkacademia #cottagecore #antique #vintage"

Repairing veneer isn’t as difficult as long as you have the right products. Mohawk epoxy, blending sticks, and toner are my favorite for veneer repair. **If you work inside make sure you have a well ventilated area and wear a respirator.
