Spellbound - Amtgard Spellbook

Spellbound Tome is your fully offline companion, toolkit, reference guide, and spellbook for Amtgard's immersive LARP gameplay, no matter what class you play! Featuring all classes, monsters, spell lists, spellbook, resources, player inventory and magical item management, and more!

Spellbound Tome's features include:
• Amtgard spell list creator! Make, edit, and share spell lists for Wizard, Healer, Druid and Bard!

• Martial class interactive reference pages! All 8 martial classes and all archetypes! View and export lists and incantations for your Archetype and level.

• Learn with tooltips! Every spell, term, modifier, and more can be clicked for a pop-up explaining what it is. No more looking at the rulebook while making a list or forgetting what a spell does while playing, just tap and read it!

• Magical item inventory and custom notes! Create your own or copy directly from the spellbook tab. Equip/activate items/notes to include them in all lists.

• Comprehensive, interactive monster reference for Dor X and the Dor XI proposal!

• On-field spell tracking, great for backliners! Track your spell usage in real-time by clicking on your per life and per refresh abilities while viewing a list. Read your incantations right in the app, too!

• Export and share spell lists with other players!

• A full and searchable Amtgard spellbook!

• Review, testing, reference materials, flash cards, and more!

• Full color customization, and light/dark mode for buttons to help ensure better viewing in the sun!

 Whereas some other projects have gone for (respectable!) minimalism, my goal with Spellbound Tome is a comprehensive, feature-rich tool with character, that feels fun to use, and that embodies the colorful passion of Amtgard.

 Hello! I'm a Wizard known as Sera. This is my spellbound tome, containing virtually all things known throughout the lands of Amtgard!

I've created my tome with a three part mission statement for my Amtgard Spellbook, Spellbound Tome:

 1. Better learning resources, for veteran players and new ones! This app is designed to be friendly, and to make the game as easy to understand as possible. You can click basically everything--not just Abilities--and immediately get a popup teaching you. There’s martial class calculators and exports to easily print out your class and build. There’s a full spellbook, dedicated resource pages to highlight specific areas, and even a fun flashcard feature and a practice tool that generates different stick figures to practice casting Verbal magic at them!

 2. Testing! Players need tools for playtests so the tests are good ones. I keep this app up to date with the latest Amtgard rules releases. This spellbook will always contain the most up-to-date official rules and information, but that also means that I may include large proposals into the app at times, like the ongoing effort for the new monster manual.

 3. Long-term support! I see this spellbook as an ongoing commitment and I don’t want to burn out. So, I’ve built it in a way that I can quickly update it!

 Spellbound Tome is my passion project for Amtgard. I’m a game developer with a breadth of experience, and in Amtgard I’m a Wizard main, and it feels very wizard-y to make a spellbook that contains all things known! I plan to maintain this project indefinitely with improvements, new features, and updates with rules changes, as a way to give back to a community that has changed my life for the better. I hope it can help new players learn Amtgard, be welcoming to new members of our community, and be a useful tool for any veteran players, too!
