However, Ahmet's father who is the actual owner of the house strongly opposes this and he stops speaking, projecting utter silence towards his family. Ahmet, who remains indifferent to what had happened and Asya, who holds her older daughter responsible for the death of her little child led the family into a period of non-communication that lasted for ten years. Ten years later, the request of Meriç to have a private room brings the old argument back to the table and Ahmet dies in his workshop where he retreated after the discussion. Asya who struggled with indifferent existence of Ahmet for ten years won't be able to bear a life without him. See less
