After that, it moved to prime time (starting July 17, 1954) and ran ...See more'The Jack Paar Show' was a variety show which began as an hour-long early morning daytime program on November 11,1953 until July 2, 1954. for approximately 160 episodes. After that, it moved to prime time (starting July 17, 1954) and ran for eight half-hour episodes as a summer replacement series for 'My Favorite Husband'. Paar's morning show returned and aired every morning from September 1954 to July 1,1955. Beginning on July 4,1955 until the last show on May 24,1956, it's timeslot was moved and it telecast daily at lunchtime Monday-Friday. Each episode of this series features Paar performing a monologue, chatting with guests, and performances by his regular singers. Pianist Jose Melis also appears on this series. He would later work with Paar when he moved to NBC for Tonight starring Jack Paar (one of the many iterations of 'The Tonight Show'). Paar's morning show returned and aired every morning from August 1954 to July 1955. See less
