That night Tom and his two companions steal the movie camera, and the next day they start a fake scene in front of the bank. While Tom grinds the camera, Pat and Sid enter the bank, get a bundle of money and the onlookers think it is a scene. The three cowpunchers then escape into the hills with the money. The real movie company form a posse after the sheriff refuses to interfere, thinking the whole thing a joke. The company follow the boys into the hills, accompanied by the leading lady. She discovers the boys, tells them they are real good actors, and can make more money in the movie business, and so the boys follow the leading lady's advice and return the money to the bank.
