Despite so many advantages, every now and then she loses a job when her boss makes unwelcome advances. When she becomes completely desperate, she comes up with a diabolical idea: she changes from a charming young lady into a disheveled bespectacled woman, think that this will fend off importune admirers and she might finally work in peace. Eventually, the roles are reversed and it is Joasia who falls in love with her boss, attorney Robert Rostalski, who unfortunately already has a lady friend. Joasia decides to go to the Fashion Ball, where the patron is a member of the jury. She borrows a glamorous gown and becomes the sensation of the prom.
