His best friend is Chandra, the local zamindarâ's daughter. Trouble hits paradise when Binu and Chandra go to pray at a temple for Chandraâ's motherâ's speedy recovery. Time passes quickly and they return late which is wrongly interpreted by the illiterate villagers. Binu is forced to leave his home and he wanders around aimlessly till he is discovered by a theatrical troupe, in a senseless state. They turn out to be kind and helpful people and they restore him back to full health. He starts a new life with them and strikes up a strong bond with Shyama who loves him with all her heart like her own brother. One day, Shyama attempts suicide which shatters Binu; disturbed, he leaves the troupe and once again becomes a helpless tramp. Finally to earn a living he starts begging on trains. On the other side, Chandraâ's uncle decides to get Chandra married to his bossâ's son, Boren, much to her dismay as she still loves Binu. It is now time for Chandra to stand up for love and for Binu to realize the true mission of his life.
