Fate had not forgotten her. The nasty star boarder talked too much about his money; a crook living in the house resolved to rob him. But the crook's young pal refused to take a hand in that game. He had fallen in love with the little slavey and resolved to go straight. So his former pal stole the money, and out of revenge, placed it in his room. When the detectives came, he chuckled with suppressed glee. But they did not find the money in that room. To the surprise of all, the little slavey then came forward and led them to the room of the thief, where she had hidden the money after discovering the plot against her lover.
