It continues the story of part one, In Search of the Obelisk, in which a team of archaeologists discovered advanced alien technology in a pyramid and caverns in the Nevada Desert. In Luxor Live, visitors become part of a studio audience as a fake TV talk show is being filmed, featuring a debate between archaeologist Mac MacPherson and Colonel Claggert, characters from part one. When a live feed takes the viewers to Egypt, where Mac's associate Carina Wolinski covers a solar eclipse, suddenly bizarre supernatural phenomena start to occur, which are presented as a stereoscopic 3D animation.
