He falls victim to the wiles of Florence, a dashing vampire who has discovered that Babe will fall heir to a fortune if he is married within a certain time. She lures him into a mock marriage and then announces her intention of sharing his fortune. Later Babe learns that Ethel has really been the victim of circumstances and she intends to marry him at once. In a quandary, he endeavors to escape from his dilemma, but Florence holds him fast to his supposed marriage vows. The vampire, however, has been followed by Pussey Foot, the detective, who recognizes her and unearths the plot against Babe. Just as Florence and Ethel are about to battle for possession of Babe, Pussey Foot appears and denounces Florence, exposes the mock marriage and reunites the lovers.
