His bosom companion is Fritz, and the two friends are in the midst of a celebration of Arthur's approaching marriage to a wealthy young girl of the city. Confidentially, Arthur tells his friend that his girl is the brightest and best girl in the world. That evening as the two friends are strolling down the street they see posters advertising the appearance of a well-known actress. Arthur recognizes the picture as a girl, Flora, to whom he had paid very much attention once, and he decides that as this is his last bachelor night, he will celebrate by having a big party with her. The party lasts all night, and Flora insists upon accompanying Arthur to his apartment. They arrive about 9 AM, and Arthur is trying to make an excuse to get rid of Flora to prepare for his wedding, when Fritz arrives with the wedding bouquet. Flora asks about the flowers and Arthur can't give a satisfactory explanation; he takes the occasion of Fritz's arrival to hurriedly don his wedding clothes. When he returns, Flora, suspects where he's going and what's happening. She had previously told Arthur that if he proved false to her despite his evident affection, she would kill him; taking her at her word, Arthur leaves Fritz to make his excuses to her while he hastens to his bride's home. As soon as Flora finds that Arthur has gone, she flies into a tantrum and the furniture of the apartment suffers as a consequence. Poor Fritz, unable to escape, makes the best of his predicament and calms Flora with an invitation to breakfast. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
