In their eager race to win the affections of this young lady, they annoy exceedingly the customers of the shop, for love-making and shaving do not go well together, and a well-lathered brush carelessly jabbed in the eye of an irate old gentleman is not calculated to soothe his feelings. Outside of business hours their jealousy knows no bounds. Myrtle goes to the picture shows and accepts floral tokens from both the barbers without showing discrimination. August, a young gentleman of means who possesses an auto, steps in and holds the stage for a while. Angelo succeeds in putting Tony in wrong with the boss and has him fired. Tony vows revenge after the manner of the Camorra. He pours a liberal amount of white enamel into the shaving mug. August and the boss are both lathered with white enamel "shaving soap" and both discover at the same time a razor and vigorous rubbing will not remove it from their faces. Angelo is blamed and a general mix-up follows in which the barber shop is wrecked and everyone including the innocent Myrtle is covered with the paint. Tony enjoys his revenge from outside. When Angelo is fired and August driven off Tony steps in, straightens out the shop, secures his old position and wins the hand of Myrtle. Written by
