This is the edict of the new constable at Simpton Center. When the married women of the town plan a "schoolgirl" party they pay no attention to this order. The women at the party all dress as schoolgirls are having a fine time while their husbands at home are enjoying themselves over cards and a cold bottle. Long after the curfew has tolled the hour they start for home, but the hawk-eyed constable throws cold water on their spirits when he insists on arresting them under the new curfew law. After a night in jail their hubbies, with much oratory, finally convince the constable that their wives are really over 16 and they are released, but the experience sets each hubby back one $10 bill for one night's lodging.
