He lets his imagination run away with him, suffers scare and thereby gets himself into real trouble, ending up in the county jail, where he hopes to find safety. Instead, he discovers himself in a cell with a gang of genuine criminals, who are making an escape, forcing him to come along. Then the experiences of a wild night keep the action going until the accidental hero, with the aid of a girl and a monkey finds himself safely in possession of the money entrusted to him, and breathes a sigh of relief when he knows the ruffians are on the way back to jail.
