His wife suspects him of cheating on her, and arranges a test. She disguises herself as a famous actress, Trixie of the Follies, and lets Jack pick her up on the street. At first Jack thinks her to be the famous Trixie, but he soon has his doubts and suspects that "Trixie" may actually be his wife in disguise. He rushes home to make sure she is still there, but she makes it home before he does and is waiting there for him when he arrives. Believing that he did indeed meet "Trixie", he gets hold of the real Trixie and persuades her to com to his house on a night when his wife isn't home.
