The 13 episodes from the cruising documentation were produced by the SWF (Südwestfunk) and were shown first at 4th January 1979 every Thursday afternoon in German TV. Content: The film team around Tony Munzlinger and his family visited on a 4,000 sea miles long sailing cruise in the Mediterranean Sea the miscellaneous, likely places from the saga around Odysseus, beginning in Troja and ending on Ithaka. The filmed travel documentation get combined with short, drawn animation sequences with stories of major points from Odysseus journey by the animator Munzlinger who made this long journey with his family. The animations are combined with rhymed texts of the SWF editor Anton Zink. Those rhymed texts were narrated by German actor Hans Clarin. See less
