While having a child without a husband has made her the group's idol, Tracy listens carefully as the other mothers talk of getting their children enrolled in a good Mommy and Me group. As a result, she wonders if she should consider applying, even if it means having to stretch the truth a little. And while her status as an artificially inseminated mom gets Danny preferential treatment at the prestigious Clarington Academy, Tracy turns down the spot after learning of its $15,000 price tag. Some persistent worries about Danny getting into a good college send Tracy back to the drawing board. Even though she's not a church member, Charlotte suggests that she try the class at Westwind Presbyterian. And while there is one opening coming up, Tracy must compete with another mother who's just as determined to get her child in, too. So, when Tracy demonstrates her commitment by volunteering at the church bake sale, Nina retaliates with solid performances at their clothing and blood drives. With Nina pulling ahead, Tracy must go all out when asked to help out at a birthday party for the headmistress';s six-year-old daughter. After Nina's extravagant gift gives her a clear advantage, Tracy hurries to rescue the party's costumed entertainer when he passes out from dehydration. And though hoping it would make her a hero with the children, Tracy's efforts to save Emo only end up scaring the little ones and cost her the coveted Mommy and Me slot. Yet, setting aside her ethical reservations, Tracy has Danny baptized at Westwind in order to insure that he's accepted. Written by
