After a few hours of walking, we reach the Gnifetti refuge, 3,611 m. The next day, we enter the world of high peaks where gigantic glaciers are suspended between heaven and earth. Soon we are able to contemplate our tracks from the top of the Zumsteinspitze 4'563 m. We continue with the Signalkuppe 4,554 m and the Parrotspitze, but on the narrow ridge leading to 4,432 m bad weather is threatening. Jacky Pochon, the guide, decides to give up the next three summits to continue the next day in better weather conditions. In the early morning, despite fatigue, we climb the Ludwigshöhe 4,341 m, then the Corno Nero 4,321 m. A last effort is needed to reach the ultimate peak: the Pyramide Vincent 4,215 m, and finally we can savor our success: six summits over 4,000 meters in a single run. Written by
