The camera follows the team which includes a guide, Yvan Estienne, who knows the massif very well, and Carole Dechantre, throughout the ascent of the normal path. In all ease, climbers advance up the glacier before reaching the refuge where they shall spend the night facing the wonderful north face of the Barre. The day has not started, yet the team is already walking under the full moon. Dawn gradually illuminates the glacier with warm colors. They have to climb.
