It is about not being able to be in two places at once, torn between land and sea, the conscious and the subconscious, a difficult togetherness and a lonely autonomy... The first thing she knew was the sea. But Sabine's heart longed for more, and more was what Billie gave her. A shining, full to bursting, not-let-you-get-a-word-in, all laughing, all consuming land-locked life. A bosom friend and a world as dazzling as it is disturbing.
