Ying was later caught by the Japanese and interrogated by Miyamoto and Ye was ambushed by Lan Bao who was a member of Xinghe and also Miyamoto's partner of assassinating Ye. Ye was saved by a stranger and later decided to take Ying back home and treated her wounds. The assassination caused a lot of troubles for Sato and he needed Ye's stepfather's help so he had to stop investigating him.
