All these years, Lian Sheng tries all means to shelter the son from getting into troubles and being a public nuisance. With a cruel chain of events, Le Tian and Lian Sheng both fell from height, one after another. Le Tian died instantly while the father is critically injured. Initially, police investigations indicated that the depressed and struggling father planned for suicide, assisting Le Tian with suicide before jumping to his death. But testimonies from the wife and others suggest that Lian Sheng would never resort to murdering his own son. A persistent female CID Inspector Susannah and her partner uncovers the true story to this tragic incident - a parent's love for their kid can sometimes be conditional and self-serving more than selfless.
