Weiguang (James Seah) and Karen (Paige Chua) are social assistance officers from the Social Service Office (SSO) who meet their clients to understand their needs and offer them assistance. All stories are adapted from true cases. In the pilot episode, 19-year-old stepfather Ah Long (Shane Pow) has to assume the role of the sole breadwinner of his household, providing for his younger brother, unmarried pregnant girlfriend and her baby after his mother's imprisonment. He works as a mover and seeks financial assistance from the SSO but still feels the strain. He is tempted to resort to fast ways for financial gains. See less
