Sandstrom Smith, a western mine owner, buys one of three elephants, which were stranded in a neighboring town when a patent medicine vendor went broke. "Pills," the elephant, escapes. ...See moreSandstrom Smith, a western mine owner, buys one of three elephants, which were stranded in a neighboring town when a patent medicine vendor went broke. He takes one home with him, and puts it in the barn. "Pills," the elephant, escapes. Smith and Sammy Harbin, his pard, take a load of dynamite out to the mine. This mine has not been so very productive. Sammy places the basket of dynamite aside while performing an errand, and "Pills" takes possession of it and starts on his travels. He causes a stampede in many and divers places. "Pills," finding that the owner does not wish the dynamite returns it to the place where he found it. There is an explosion, and the elephant rises from the debris unscathed. Smith and Sammy rush into the scene and find that the dynamite has uncovered a rich vein of gold ore. It is cream puffs for "Pills" thereafter. Written by
