Ultimately only the survivor's side of the story has ever been told. "Rashomon" offers the victim a voice exploring his possible thoughts on that fateful night. "Rashomon" unfolds through a fictional interview with a Reporter who questions the Man and the Teen about the shooting. Why did the kid look suspicious? Was it because of his youthful swag? The loose fit of his clothes? Or was it just the color of his skin? Was the man, a 'wannabe' cop with a gun looking for a reason to shoot? Did he see a person or just his own fears? "Rashomon" offers a humanizing, and disturbing, view of racial concepts in America. We are all the "Man" and we are all the "Teen." It dissects the fear, anger and preconceived notions that fueled the deadly incident and speculates on how different choices by the Man, the Teen, or both, could have made the difference between life and death.
