After discovering his wife with her driver, Rolando suffers a crisis that leaves him in a coma. Carola hopes her husband dies rather than waking up again and changing her will. Elena, Rolando's personal nurse, recommends that Carola speak to her husband in a coma and give her reasons to return. Carola follows her advice but instead of giving him reasons to live she tells him that she has never loved him, that she has been unfaithful and that Gildardo is the son of the driver. But contrary to what Carola expects, Rolando awakens more vital than ever, although apparently he does not remember anything that his wife told him while he was in a coma. Rolando lives that day as if it were his last day and in the end he dies. His wife and children are convinced that they will receive everything, but they are surprised that that last day of life he obtained proof of Carola's infidelity and of Gildardo's paternity, and in the reading of the will he leaves them without nothing.
