Damien lives in isolation, trapped in a system that forbids him from stepping outside due to extreme climate conditions. His only connection to the world is a Hybrid - a being that is half human, half machine. As Damien struggles to accept this controlled reality, the dynamic between him and the Hybrid begins to shift. The boundaries between human and machine, reality and simulation blur more and more, until Damien makes a decision: he wants to leave his apartment - against the Hybrid's will, who tries to stop him. But is the real danger the outside world, himself - or the very technology that governs his life? The film explores urgent questions more relevant today than ever: How much control should technology have over our lives? When does humanity lose its autonomy to artificial intelligence? And what does it mean to be human in a world where machines are becoming increasingly lifelike? Zurich 2048 offers a critical look at a future that may be closer than we think - a future where not only the environment but also our understanding of identity, freedom, and reality is at stake.
