After starring in Jaws 2 and Star Trek The Motion Picture Billy was cast in TAPS. TAPS starred George C. Scott and Timothy Hutton. Today it is also known for launching the careers of newcomers Tom Cruise and Sean Penn. Billy starred as BUG and became friends with Tom and Sean and shares a lot of great stories from the sets and stories from their friendship following the film. Billy also shares memories and stories of Ronny Cox, Evan Handler, and Giancarlo Esposito, who all also had starring roles in the film. TAPS is the story of military cadets taking extreme measures when they learn they are losing their academy. The young cadets seize the campus and confront the military and they stand and protect their home. TAPS was released on December 20, 1981. See less
