The community rallied round and persuaded the council to hand their pool back to them. The only problem was, they wanted to reopen the rundown pool in time for summer, and there were still months of work to be done. So Ty took on the seemingly impossible challenge, to clear out the pool, transform the changing rooms, install a kiddie play pool, fit solar heating, and redecorate this site which holds a special place in the hearts of the Portishead community. But just filling the pool usually took 7 days, which is all the time Ty had before heading back to the States.
