At first, neither notices that the attraction is mutual. While the two strangers sit uncomfortably close in the only two chairs available and wait for their laundry cycles, both of their cell phones ring. Sitting within earshot of one another, they quickly learn that they are in fact from very different parts of the world. She gathers that this Russian man is dealing with some sort of crisis on his phone, as he learns that this Haitian woman is experiencing something similar.
