This film directly references the Troubles in Northern Ireland but the theme is echoed in other places of conflict across the world. Getting lost on the streets of Belfast is a metaphor of how some people find it hard to move on from a state of conflict and war towards 'normalisation'. Lost Commandos is part of a music project called 'End of the War'. Where the film represents entrapment, End of the War offers resolution. Together they reflect on the many complexities of conflict.
