The DNA sample taken for identification brings a surprise: The deceased's DNA had been secured a few weeks earlier in the murder of a student. Since this case is being handled by the police's arch-enemy, Chief Inspector Carsten Heinrich, Chief Kruppka considers equal cooperation the only option for solving the two intertwined cases.
