As culture shifters, independent thinkers and cultural commentators; the two historians have applied their critical views on pop culture, Latin music, politics and society to their work in media. For this act, the two multimedia mamis have carved a unique space unseen in the industry. Dimelo Cantando is a segment-series, thought-provoking compilation of conversations featuring some of the biggest tastemakers in the Latin music industry featuring culture centered conversations. The series tackles present and historic topics relating to the intersections of race, class, gender in El Movimiento while celebrating the evolution of the culture. Created to inform and educate the masses on the beauty, complexities, imperfections of the movement, as well as debate and challenge ideas-so that we as a movement can progress- the hosts critical, news satire approach embodies a self-reflective/self-referential comedic tone/lens on the Latin American music industry while simultaneously commemorating the pioneers, tastemakers, producers and new generation of artists.
