Both specials spoofed telethons in a tone similar to SCTV, although all of the comedy, musical, improvisation, and dramatic performances were genuine. The producers believe it was the first-ever telethon held in conjunction with a crowdfunding campaign (on Indiegogo) for a feature film. Both specials were produced at Avenir Cine in Buffalo, New York. See less
