The dancers are of diverse arts backgrounds, education and ages, and are committed to supporting the spirit of creative exploration. PARENTS WHO DANCE features dance rehearsal and performance footage made in 2005 and 2007 of the group in rehearsal studios, performance spaces and an outdoor block party. Popular songs, Someone to Watch Over Me by George Gershwin and performed by the Roland Kirk Quartet and Since I Fell by Buddy Johnson, performed by Lenny Welsh, accompany the archival and scrapbook-like footage.
