Jorn's fellow artists personally and informally recall meetings and episodes with the Danish artist. Recordings with members of the COBRA group from the autumn of 1974, the year after Jorn's death, give an inside look at Jorn's efforts as the driving force in the multifarious events that led to the formation of COBRA. Belgian poet Christian Dotremont is a main witness and the floor is also given to Karel Appel, Willem Sandberg, Egill Jacobsen, Constant, Alechinsky and Corneille. In other recordings of a white-bearded, cigar-smoking Jorn from the late sixties, he talks about his lack of understanding of art and about the then budding plans for a museum in Silkeborg.
