Trilport is a small town of 5,000 inhabitants, where Gustave de Ponton d'Amécourt, inventor of the helicopter, lived. The exterior scenes of Pierre Chenal's film L'Alibi (1937) were shot "at Trilport beach". The town's name is mentioned several times in Laurent Baffie's satirical TV show "Baffie vérifie la pub", via comedian Didier Caron, himself a native of Trilport. And finally, in 2007, Michèle Bardon, honorary citizen of the town, republished her 1980 book: "Trilport: Témoin de l'histoire". See less
