The younger brother (Rhetoryk) represents the "opportunity in the future." Looking towards "Intermission" as a whole, it is a strong representation of the type of upbringing O.D.D.I.T.Y faced and thousands of other children face. The lyrics identify how it feels to grow up as a black adolescent into a young adult and professional. It is hard. There is stigma. Finding the tight rope to balance is tough.
